Every summer we go to Utah and I get a couple of weeks of vacation away from the constant running. It always gives me the opportunity to refresh and renew my commitment to staying on top of things and organizing my time better.
We just got home from our yearly trip. The take away for me this year was a desire to organize myself to stay just a bit more connected with my dear family and friends scattered all over. The people in my life and the relationships I have are what bring me joy -- and who doesn't want more joy?? I'm committed to writing about a small portion of the goings on here in Arkansas in the hope that it will keep us all better connected. I would love a little bit of you in the form of comments, so feel free!
This first installment is a part of a series I'm planning of important events that happened in the past year. So here goes....
Courtney loves to sing and practiced for a couple of months last September in order to try out for the all region choir. She made 5th chair - 2nd soprano and had the opportunity to go to Springdale one Saturday where kids from all over the region learned songs and then preformed them. One of the things Northwest Arkansas does really well, is produce great choirs and this choir was no exception. I sat an cried as I listened (and not just because I'm a mom!) and Courtney had a phenomenal experience. Check it out here....

She is on the top row on the left. She is fifth from the boys. She doesn't get a whole lot of screen time, but her voice is blending with the others to create the beautiful music you'll hear. I also added her Jr. High Choir spring concert. They are good also. All in all, it's about 45 minutes long, so pop some popcorn and put your feet up and enjoy!
